About Us

What is Parkinson?

Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive degenerative disorder of the central nervous system.

The primary symptoms are shaking (resting tremor), rigidity, slowness of movement, postural instability and several secondary symptoms. These include sleep disorder, constipation, speech disorder and others. In the early stages patients can function independently in carrying out daily activities. But as the disease  progresses, disability increases and quality of life deteriorates. In advanced stages caregiver assistance becomes essential.
